ABOUT US

The Wool Shop has been a destination in Memorial Square for over a decade. We sell a variety of different knitting and crochet yarns, cottons and embroidery threads as well as all the needles and hooks you would require for all your projects. We are available to help you not only select products for a project, but also to get you going and keep you on track. Should you have any problems with your projects, we are always available to try and help.

Hazel Francey has been the owner since April 2016 and is working to make the shop her own by making a few minor adjustments and bringing the shop into line with what her clients require. She has also been involved in a number of crafts for many years and can help with most projects. She is a retired school teacher and has endless patience with teaching clients and assisting them with patterns.

Sadie has been a fixture at The Wool Shop for many years and runs the weekly embroidery classes. She is able to help with most projects and is a familiar face to all our clients.

Anthea has recently joined the staff and helps out in the shop, very quickly learning to increase her knowledge of the different crafts available.
